Digestive enzymes are produced in the body to break down food into its basic components. This allows us to absorb the nutrients they provide to build and maintain cells, tissues and organs. This complex from Cytoplan provides a broad spectrum of plant-sourced enzymes which assist in the digestion of protein, fat, fibre, dairy, sugars and carbohydrates. The enzymes selected are largely resistant to degradation by hydrochloric acid from the stomach, enabling them to reach the small intestine where most digestion takes place.
