Garlic is recognised as a food that contains antioxidant compounds. Garlic (Allium sativum) has generated much interest in recent years, although it has been used since ancient times. Garlic naturally contains potassium, phosphorus, B vitamins, vitamin C and many sulphur-containing compounds as well as amino acids.
