Female Tonic Tea

Female tonic tea is a highly nutritious tea, high in iron, calcium and vitamin C. It contains tonics such as raspberry leaf that have a normalising effect on uterine function and menstrual flow, and astringent herbs such as nettle and yarrow that work to lessen heavy menstrual bleeding. It is of particular benefit for those with heavy periods, especially during adolescence or peri-menopausal years, to help replenish lost minerals each month. It is also helpful for those that experience absent or infrequent periods or who have suffered a miscarriage.

Ingredients

Yarrow, Lady’s Mantle, Stinging Nettle, Raspberry Leaf, Rosehips.

How to Use

Place 1 heaped teaspoon into a cafetière or teapot with an infuser. Add 1 cup (250mls) of boiling water. Allow to infuse for 15minutes or longer. Strain and serve. Drink 1-3 cups per day. Caution: Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding.
