Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is an antioxidant which we cannot produce in the body, and instead comes from food or supplementation. Viridian's Astaxanthin is a carotenoid sourced from freshwater microalgae, one of the richest sources of natural astaxanthin. It is cultivated using the pristine waters from the Himalayas in a climate which allows the microalgae to flourish without any artificial heating or cooling. The exposure to natural sunlight gives this carotenoid its characteristic vivid red colour as the microalgae reacts to UV light. This vegan supplement is formulated in a base of marigold flower, naturally rich in the carotenoids lutein, zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin.
